The State of Hawaii has graciously allowed us to build a compound of buildings in the pursuit of our dream of opening up what we consider to be a gloriously beautiful property....to the general public.

You might continue its usage as a Personal Residence/ 9 Room plus Guest House Bed and Breakfast as the present owners do - or you could only operate one building as a B&B and keep another building entirely as a Personal Residence - or you could use it solely as a Personal/Corporate Retreat. The Permits to operate as an Inn are current and run with the property which allows the option to operate as a business, or not, at your discretion.

C.Brewer (originators of Mauna Loa Mac Nuts) planted 2000 acres of Mac Nuts in Mauka Puueo, (the name of the community surrounding Kulaniapia), in 1985. As a result, one of the more interesting attributes of the property is the ability to build yet another complete home. By actively farming Macadamia Nut, we are allowed under current law and have obtained a building permit for an Auxillary Farm Dwelling. This permit can run with the property and the plans can be changed to suit your own architectural style and is not limited in size.
